Listed here are the tools that I use every day in my recordings and documentation of this process and I realize that there are many more but this website is about writing about things that I know and understand and not just filling space for the sake of doing so. I hope you find this helpfull and usefull in your quest.

          1. Home Computer..........This tool has become our right hand in living a modern life and not much of an introduction is required. You will use your PC to dowl load many of the free softwares i will list below, catalog photographs, video tapes and photographs and document your journey.

          2. External speakers.........Most computer monitors come with in-built speakers but a good quality to a great quality external speaker will change the quality of your recordings. Most of your local computer stores carry a variety of external speaker brands that can be purchased from a starting point of $35.00.When purchasing a speaker please make sure that the speaker the speaker itself has an ability for you to attach your headphones and an output source for a recorder, speaker or radio. i tend to spend some time on the web researching most things before I make any sort of purchase to ensure that I make the best purchase for my money and that I buy what will work for my needs. I find that in todays world in store help often has no clue what they carry on their shelves or how it works. When buying anything ask about their return policy incase you need to return anything that may be defective or substandard. The brand of speakers that I use is INSIGNIA. Also make sure that the external speakers that you buy have volume control directly on the speaker itself.

3. Microphone.........I have purchased a Radioshack microphone it is small compact and very effective and it connects direcftly to my PC through a USB connection. Microphones come in handy for live recordings when you are recording from the box and asking questions and getting answers from the otherside and want the questions to be clear and audible . Microphones can also be used when you choose to record your own voice or anothers for the EVP maker 2.5. I dont remember what I spent on the microphone but I doubt that i exceeded $30.00. You simply need a quality microphone and something very expensive is not going to work any better than an average one for this purpose.

4. Headphones..........I dont use my headphones very often, basically they come in handy if I want to listen to something without outside interference, but becuase I have a private office and good quality speakers that is not very often. I used to spend hours with headphones directly connected to my box in the beginning and I do not recommend anyone do that. listening to white noise and static for hours at a time at that level is dangerous and bad for your health and listening to any kind of noise with headphones is detrimental to your long term hearing. Avoid using headphones unless you absolutely have to. A decnt headphone can be purchased starting at $45.00. Make sure the headphones are adjustable for comfort, padded for your ears and have volume control directly on each side.

5. IPAD.........You can still indulge in your activities without an Ipad but for so many reasons this tools can change your life. I rarely use my PC in daily life but my IPAD is like my right hand and I would feel completely lost without this tool. My smart phone and my IPAD go wherever I go. Other than the obvious reasons that a tablet might change the way you use the internet and relate to the web I will list below the reasons specific to using it for paranormal use.

                  * Documentation..........The IPAD has an inbuilt note book that allows you to keep a journal and email directly from that journal page.

                  * Applications..........Microsoft has tens of thousands of applications made just for the IPAD and there are many for paranormal use.

                  * Recorders..........You can buy a digital recorder for $150 or dowload one on your IPAD for $2.50, money talks.

                  * Portability..........You cant carry your home computer around but you can easily carry your IPAD to the destination of your choice.

                   * Kindle.........You can dowload te free application on your IPAD or buy one for around $200, The IPAD version is the best.

                   * Comfort.......An IPAD can sit on your lap in bed and is backlit so you can read in the dark, need I say more?

6. Adobe Audition C56..........If you own a PC then you are probably familiar with the name Adobe. This is a very well known software manufacturer that provides most computer manufacturers with much needed software, chances are your computer automatically updates your adobe software without you paying much attention. Other than the complimentary softaware that comes with your PC Adobe creates a sophisticated line of software for home and office use and none of it is cheap but its is the best on the market. Adobe audition runs close to $400.00 and is used to edit audio recordings or create audio recordings. I purchased this product after learning how to use a variety of free versions online for several months until I had reached a point where I knew that i was ready and comfortable in stepping up to this version. You can also dowload a 30 day free version to try out before you purchase your own. The only down side to purchasing my copy was their annoying website that really upset me with not being user friendly and making the purchase as easy as it should have been. Their customer service was equally poor when I had to spend an hour on the phone trying to resolve my issue. I could not understand why the worlds largest software manufacturer had the worst customer service? but having vented about my experience I can say with confidence that my Adobe audition is fantastic and I would not trade it in.

7. Olympus digital recorder.........There are dozens of digital recorders on the market and a good one will cost somewhere between $150.00-$200.00. Before you decide to invest in one make sure that you will use it. Most of my recordings if not all are now done using the recorder dowloaded on my IPAD but a small portable device has its place in your repertoire and may be absolutely required if you dont choose to purchase an IPAD. My digital recorder is slim and trim, fits in the palm of my hand, is light as a feather and has a built in USB connection that allows you to dowload to your PC with great ease.

8. Audacity..........This is a free software dowload online that is similar to adobe audition and is used for editing audio recordings. The interface on this software is not as ergonomic and as inviting or as slick as adobe and if you are not at ease with figuring out computer software it can be a bit daunting. I was not a happy camper with this product, but its free and what one person learns to like is not always anothers favorite. Please check it out and decide for yourself. When downloading anything free online makesure that you do it from a reputable website and that you scan it for attachments and viruses, just a word of warning.

9. Wavepad Masters Addition..........This is yet another version similar to Adobe Audition and it too is a free dowload for 30 days, however when the free period has expired all you have to do is remove it from your computer by deleting it from your control panel and uploading it again. you can repeat this process indefinitely. i prefer Wavepad to Audacity and found it much easier to use and understand, you be the judge. There is a version of Wavepad available for dowload as an application on the IPAD for a nominal charge and I use this everyday for all of my recordings. Once I make the recording I don not use the resources on wavepad to clean the recording but email it to myself and dowload it on my PC so I can review and process it with Adobe. This is an invaluable tool and is a must have.

10. Paranormal Recorder.........This is an application only made for an IPAD and I cannot say enough about this tool. I am going to take a deep breath and try to keep this to the point and concise. I first came apon this application playing with my IPAD and decided like most of the paranormal application on the Ipad that it was for entertainment purposes only. Frankly I am not even sure if the manufacturer of this product realizes what this thing can do. If a product was to ever get a nobel peace prize this would be it, this is the little application that could. it changed my life and my world. i think the download for the Ipad cost $2.50, yes you read that correctly. Since its inception it has gone through a few updates and I am going to make a list below of what this application does. as you can see I love lists.

                  * This is simple and ergonomic no mess no fuss.

                  * It has an in built EMF detector that shows you any unusual EMF levels associated with your recorder.

                  * This recorder is made exclusively for paranormal use.

                  *It has an adjustable Decible Level. What is that you ask? The human ear cannot hear all noises and this will determine what you want to hear.

                  * Most importantly it will allow you to listen to your recordings in small segments so you can understand and hear the details.

The paranormal recorder has an option for you to upload your recording to Soundcloud on the web. Sound cloud is a sharing network similar to Facebook but for audio enthusiasts who wish to showcase and share their recordings with the public at large. SoundCloud has meany levels of membership to suite your needs from free to premium. I use their premium membership that allows me unlimited dowloads and helps protect my recording should my computer crash. You can upload to soundcloud at a push of the button from the paranormal recorder once you have set up your account and the details of your account. check it out on www.soundcloud.com.

11. AVS Video Editor..........Yes its free to download online and I use this for editing and viewing my Water ITC video tapes. Its easy to use and requires minimal braincells to figure out. Once you download the product to your PC you can import your Video into the program and begin viewing frame by frame and taking screen shots. Once you are through taking screen shots that you wish to preserve and documents you go into your video files on your PC and find all the screen shots, create a folder and put them all inside, label the folder with the approprate name and i usually place the video itself inside the file so I know where the screen shots came from and move the file to my pictures folder. Easy enough and simple enough to do. but if you prefer to suffer you can sit infront of your PC and watch the video on the media center on your PC and take manual shots with your digital camera until the cows come home or until your arm withers away and falls off. The choice is yours, i know some people like doing things the hard way.

12. Photo Elf..........Free online is a photo editing software that allows you to alter the contrast, turn a color photo into a black and white and flip a positive image into a negative image. I use this product for viewing and analyzing my water ITC screen shots and I have not yet decided if I want to invest in the Adobe photoshop software, I will decide on that as I grow and move in the right direction and come to a conclusion. just as paranormal studies change your life and spiritual growth and understanding using earthly tools to understand spiritual matters has its own growth curve, there is a beautiful cyclical pattern to life. Enjoy the flow dont feel pressured to move faster than you are able, allow the momentum to carry you there at its own pace.

13. Digital Camera..........I use a Cannon Sure Shot and there many other models out there. Obviously when purchasing a product like this price, pixallation quality and easy of use are important to keep in mind. If you are going to use one for Water ITC experiments it needs to be small, light weight and easy to hold and operate in one hand as you use the other.

14. Jensen ..........The Jensen is an arm band radio that can be modified with minimal work to become an effective paranormal device. Here is a link to learn more about this product and a few others on the market.http://www.prrsociety.org/ghostbox.html

15. P-SB7 ..........This is a commercially made radio random sweep box that can function both as a traditional radio or a paranormal devive. It will fit into the palm of your hand and comes with built in white noise. It covers both the FM and AM channels and can also sweep in reverse and has multiple settings for sweep mode. Draw back is that the speakers are vertully useless and it needs to be hooked up to a great set of external speakers. I have had great success with this model. 16. Franks Box..........This is a random radio sweep box custom made by the modern father of EVP Frank Sumption. His boxes have wood exteriors and internal echo chambers. Each box is hand made and no two are alike. All of his boxes are signed and dated. I own box#100.          And we have come to the end of the list. I have seen paranormal groups that have invested in tens of thousands of dollars of equiptment that require a van to haul from location to location and sadly they are no more than equiptment junkies. More is not always better, remember that you cant really die and than when you transition you cant take it with you. I have not talked to a single paranormal group that has achieved the ability to record EVP's on my level and I dont understand the point of living on table scraps and buying junk just so you can record one word at a grave yard. Please use common sense if you have some.
